6 Mid-Century Modern Chrome Dutch Gispen Armchairs, Netherlands 1970s Late 20th Century. This original Gispen chair, model 107, is in very good condition and has been beautifully pimped with a beautiful, strong furniture fabric from the De Ploeg collection. The metal frame shows no damage, nor do the Bakelite armrests. The Gispen chair model 107 was designed in the period 1933 - 1966 and has many similarities with the models 101 and 108. The difference is that the 107 is not a rear-legless (floating) chair. In addition, the chair is slightly smaller and lighter in weight.
